M7 Blog Post 6 - Integrating Gaming and Simulations Into My Classroom
As an educator of young children I always find that they get excited about the weather therefore introducing them to details about weather and climate will spark their curiosity about what happens throughout the year as the weather changes. Weather and climate discussions also offer opportunities for them to become critical thinkers. Lessons and discussions on weather can allow children to explore the causes and effects of different types of weather. Weather impacts our daily routines, from what we wear to the type of activities we can engage in. Teaching kids about the weather helps them plan for their day, helps them to understand the seasons. It empowers them to think about what is needed in each type of weather, such as carrying an umbrella on a rainy day or dressing warmly in winter.
